Emma Climbs The Slide
Sorry more Easter pictures, but I had to include this. Emma is a climbing freak and she decided she would tackle this slide. She climbed up there on her own and just headed up like it was no big deal that she was going to try to climb up the slide. I guess she figured after she conquered Jathen's bed step ladder that she could do anything! Unfortunately, somehow I didn't get a picture of her once she got to the top. Bummer!

Brylee's Birthday Party - 7 years old!
Brylee's Birthday Breakfast!
The night before her birthday, I stayed up late while everyone slept and decorated the kitchen. She was so excited when she woke up and saw it the next morning! It's so neat to see the magic in their eyes! (These pictures don't show all of it, but there was more) She especially liked the birthday girl chair! I even made homemade pancakes, and to make the moring a little less rushed I pre-mixed all the dry ingredients.

THE BIRTH STORY!
It was a very strange delivery. My contractions woke me up after having just fallen asleep at 10:40pm. They were strong right off the bat! I waited about 10 minutes too get a good feel for how strong they were before I told Jon. I considered showering but soon realized that the contractions were too strong so I decided to just put make up on and get dressed. This small feat took me awhile because I was already having to stop and breath with each one. Within 20 to 30 minutes I got Jon up and let him know this baby was coming fast and to call our friend over to stay at the house with the kids. We left the house at about 11:50 and arrived at the hospital at about midnight. The nurses, thinking this would be awhile, put me in triage and pretty much left me to my own. They did ask me if I wanted drugs and I told them I didn't know at that point because I was considering trying it natural. They put me on the bed and strapped the monitor to me and left. After trying one contraction in the bed I said no way, and hopped out, boy did that feel so much better. I grunted and groaned my way through contractions that were every 1 to 2 minutes. By 1:00AM the nurses came in saying I was groaning so loud that it sounded like I was pushing. They checked me and were very surprised to find that I was nearly at pushing stage - about 9 to 9 1/2 centimenters dialated. All of sudden I had nurses rushing everywhere saying, "GET THE GURNEY, SHE'S HAVING THIS BABY"! Suddenly I was being wheeled to the delivery room. I got on the bed, and said between screams, "OK, I'M READY FOR THE DRUGS", they said, "SORRY IT'S TOO LATE"! Well, back to plan A-natural childbirth! That's when I lost it, I wanted that baby pushed back in, I thought I was going to explode! Then the doctor said, give me 1 or 2 good hard pushes and this baby will be here! So I got myself together and pushed and sure enough, she arrived at 1:14 AM on May 22, 2009 (By the way I was born on January (1) 14, I found that interesting that she was born at 1:14AM)
